My images evoke a quiet stillness that I perceive in this busy world. I love an adventure. I am a problem solver. I am decisive. I enjoy a challenge and I love to learn.

My first visual memory was riding in the back of the family station wagon: wind blowing my hair and the world passing me by. I was considered the 'wild child' growing up: not disrespectful, but I asked a lot of questions and wandered in the woods alone. When I was 9, I wanted to be a librarian; at 13, a flight attendant. Turned out I was really good at math, and a high school teacher steered me toward engineering. As an engineer, I traveled the world. When I started photographing plant failures and corrosion issues as a part of my engineering job, I never imagined that what had started as a hobby would turn into my full-time passion. Now a professional photographer for over 15 years, I'm glad I took a chance and made a big career pivot. Still an engineer at heart, my education and past work experience have given me a keen eye for detail and an appreciation for the technical side of photography. My work captures the essence of spaces and objects, manipulating available light sources and evoking a sense of quiet stillness. With photography and video, it's all about patience and skill to capture nuances that most people miss.
